I have had the pleasure of working closely with Larisa for the last three years. Larisa is a rare bird, a fully embodied intuitive healer. I recently attended a gathering offered by Larisa in Akumal at the Tao Wellness Center. The setting there is lush, clean and beautifully nestled into jungle and garden. The sounds of nature dominated a tranquil, inviting atmosphere. I have done Journey work with Larisa in the past and know her to be strong in her Work, at once a wizened shaman and an encouraging, supportive companion throughout the Journey.

This particular gathering on Saturday 25 Jan was focused on the Ho' ponopono Prayer; learning how to open to our Heart space & make it our own Tool for healing, self and other, past, present and, as a consequence, future too.. Every aspect of this ceremony was choreographed for our ease in access and application of this powerful, ancient prayer/chant.

Both myself and my friend who accompanied me were deeply moved and I believe released from the weight of unaddressed/unconscious “stuff” but more importantly, armed with something we can use regularly to continue the process. I have spent a lot of time going through the hoopla of counseling and introspection to sift through traumatic events in my lifetime with mixed results. Ancient Star Healing takes a holistic approach to getting to the root of these traumas to work piece by piece identify the source of what ails you and then how to begin to heal from a place that feels manageable and comfortable.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and our healing takes time, but Larisa gave me some very helpful perspectives and tools to do this work for myself. I feel encouraged to incorporate what I have learned from working with her into my everyday life. Besides, who could complain about a person who shows up authentically and is no bs when it comes to my own journey to getting to where I want to be emotionally and to be a whole person.

I was taken aback to see how insightful she is when parsing apart what I am saying to get to the core of what I mean without superimposing her positionality onto me.

I haven't felt empowered or like I had agency in all of this before I had a consultation with her, but now I feel encouraged to challenge my assumptions about what it really means to grow beyond events in my life that were not so awesome.
